Coming thread on my project. I bought my car in May 2021. Its a 1998 Carrera build October 1997. It was delivered with 25 option codes from factory. It has factory LSD, sports suspension, squeaky yellow-stuff pads, but except from that its a non nanny, analog naturally aspirated driving pleasure. Whan I bought it it had 198-thousand km. At 197 it had a new engine done by Porsche Norway. Heads from the old engine was cleaned, inspected and planned by a subvendor of PCN, a racing engine specialist. I will com back on this part. I have just bought a "new" transaxle refurbished by Porsche through Rob van Zweeden in Netherlands. Upon changing the transaxle, I will change clutch, and the OEM shifter and cables for Numeric sifter kit including their cables. A new shifter know is on its way from Manuel Campuzano in Mexico (if you know him he makes the most beautiful retro *****). Since I bought the car back in May, I have put nearly 9000km on the car, smooth operation, oil consumption have been ca 4 liter, gas between ca 1.2lpmm. Its a car with lots of history, I'm the 8 owner, It has been club raced at Nurburgring, Rudskogen (Norway), Arctic Circle (Norway) and many continental tours. Its for sure no matching number piece, and I will not try to have it stored or pretend its special other than a car with lots of visceral driving pleasure and many smiles per mile left.

Nice. I have a set of Numeric cables for sale that I used for about 2 hours before uninstalling them. Nice performance, but I liked the quiet of the stock cables. If you want them, PM me.
