driving great with no issues. then, after stopping for some groceries, try to start it and it rumbles/idles rough and will not start. returned in the morning and started right up and drove home 2 miles, sounded great. 2 hrs later, will not start. seems like it's not getting any gas, but, the fuel pump sounds likes it's working. on the advice of a trusted certified porsche tech who does work on the car, i bought a crank sensor. spent a few hours installing that but nothing. still sounds like it's out of fuel. any ideas greatly appreciated. i miss this car� Thx!

What year? C2, C4 tank full?? Fuel filter, if it has one, new? Check the fuel pressure. Should be ~3.8 bar, 55 psi

No CEL? ODB II is your friend. Check for codes....might be ignition. A bad ignition coil will sometimes come and go like that.

I did have an intermittent CEL before this happened and codes were: P0410 P1411 P1133 But, my tech could not find any issues with secondary air or fuel. He's coming tomorrow to run some more tests, but, still stumped as of now. Thx.

fuel pressure tester showed "0" pressure tonight, despite the fact that fuel pump sounded like it was working, took hoses off the pump and it was clear there was no fuel moving, so, ordered a new pump. hopefully problem solved!
