Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I ended up sending it down to a fellow in Long Beach, CA to have it repaired with lifetime warranty.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just got this from 914Rubber:
996/986 LCD Display unit wth connectors (replacement kit)
But it didn't come with any instructions.
Anyone have the instructions for this repair kit?
FYI, the modulemaster kit is different, and is
not
the OEM style display. The kit from 914Rubber is the same as the OEM display.
However, the installation instructions are the same.
Also, I'm sure if you shoot at
email to 914 rubber
, they would email you the instructions. I know they have a full write-up.
Try this link. If it doesn't work, PM me your email address and I'll email it as a pdf.

Mark at 914Rubber is a commercial pilot, so he's out a lot. He's a great guy.
You wrote it? Great job!!
Most of the time, instructions reek. Took me more time recently to install a shower spray head holder than the climate control display, due to the lousy shower part instructions (which I eventually threw away and just figured it out myself).
These instructions are very well written.
I tried something similar to this on my E36 M3 and let me tell you, it was a complete disaster. I ended up sending it down to a fellow in Long Beach, CA to have it repaired with lifetime warranty.
