Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That's right - she's been my daily driver for almost 4 years, and I will miss her, but I'm re-prioritzing a few things.
I am her second owner and got her with only 43K miles on the odo. Immediately did the IMS bearing and RMS. Later replaced the AOS and Coolant Tank. I did all her regular mainteance from oil to brakes, and TPWS of Austin, TX did the major stuff (IMS, RMS, AOS, Coolant Tank).
SHe's been a great car, and only had Motul 5W-40 in her from the time I got her. Oil Analyses have all come back with great results.
Here's a link to more info on her:

I plan to trade her in if I can't find a good home for her.
Have a great Friday y'all.
P.S. - don't worry, I'm keeping the '77 911, so I'm still a Porsche guy.
I'd never fault anyone for trying to get a good deal, but they're nuts if they think a car like this goes for low retail
Thanks for the compliments guys.
Love the color. I also don't think your price point is that far off. I am guessing your going to get several offers on the low 20s tell them to take a hike. $27-$30 is a realistic fair value price point.
Good luck on the sale!
Beautiful car! It'll probably take some time for the right buyer to come along, but I think your asking price is reasonable given the condition and maintenance history.
Good luck!
your mileage when you got it and now coincides with my 99 cab exactly. I have had mine 4 years also. Your asking price should at least be $30000. Mine (if I was selling) would be $25000. If we all stick to our guns when we sell. It may help the resale market on the 996. That's what the car is worth to me and that's my non-negotiable asking price (if I was selling). I say stick by your guns on this one. I use the same oil Motel 5/40 excell. Yours is a great car in great condition. No luck needed. The right buyer will come along and see a pearl in what you own. Keep it until he arrives.
Wow - thanks for all the positive comments guys. Gotta admit - the color was one of the things that pointed me her way to begin with.
The guys on this website are one of the reasons I will remain a Porsche owner even after I sell her. It's great to have knowledgeable peers who understand the machines and their quirks. I'm really looking forward to diving back into the '77 and getting her in proper shape. I'm sure she was less than pleased when a "young" 2004 moved in and bumped her status in the garage. Like fine wine though, she's only getting more valuable.
As to the value of the 996 - it's always highly variable. Things are worth what they're worth when you're selling/buying, and I try to keep emotions out of it. That said, I took care of this car they way I'd want someone to take care of a car I was planning to buy. I love being able to show what was done, when, and for how much. I also like having data like oil analyses to back up the value of the car. She'll make a great weekend cruiser, and I hope I find the right guy/gal looking to get into their first P-Car (or an upgrade).
Have a great week everyone!
Rob
