Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

can anyone tell me what this ticking might be. is it the injectors. ? sorry cannot load video file won't allow ? it's a very light ticking sound.

POST 2Original post

search "bore scoring", too many posts about it for you to not be able to match your sound with others that have been posted.

POST 3Original post

The purge valve in the engine bay will also tick while cycling. Mine can be quite loud. Check your plugs to ensure that they are tight and make sure you don't have any broken exhaust manifold bolts. My car had four broken bolts on the passenger side when I bought it which caused a loud ticking noise once warmed up.

My heart drops every time I see one of these posts.

Like Mike said post it on youtube and paste a link here. There are many people who can give advice(not all is bad). We can't help until we hear it. Best is a recording beneath each set of exhaust headers for 15-20 secs without moving it.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
