Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Ive used the Axxis ones that go by different names, but I stick with Mintex now

Suggestion
Check Pelican because I believe Textar were the cheapest or almost cheapest they offered.

I didn't mention it as you only inquired about the 3 initially and so I wasn't sure if you were dead set on one of those or not.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am doing a brake job on my 2001 C2 and have read numerous posts about these different pads.
Any advantages/disadvantages to either of them? Not sure if the extra $$ for the textar ones is worth it. Please advise on your opinion of all the choices.
Car is driven on street only and no track days.
Thanks
For street and if you want minimal brake dust, out of the three, Mintex red box does a good job and provides better initial cold bite than the Metal Masters. Textar is pretty much OEM but dusts quite a bit.
BTW, do you have a white 4dr e30?
Gotcha...I do not care at all about dust. Just makes me wash it more often
Textar is way more expensive so didnt know if they were that much better.
I have a red 4dr e30. Selling it in a month though. Just do not really drive it anymore.
I guess oem pads have a rating of FF. Mintex are FE or EE and not sure about Metal Master. Anyone know? Is this a huge difference? I know the first letter means cold and second one means hot.
If you don't care about dust, go with Textar(oem equivalent) and be done with it. For street the difference will be minimal with the exception to dusting.
Akebono Ceramics have always been my favorite go-to brake pads for the street with a great trade off between braking and dusting. I didn't mention it as you only inquired about the 3 initially and so I wasn't sure if you were dead set on one of those or not.
