Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got a crazy quote from the dealer to have this fixed. Apparently it's a $40 plastic "T" pipe that needs to be replaced and the clamps redone to stop the leak. I haven't seen this myself yet but they are charging $340 in labor to do the work. Does anyone know what they are talking about? Would this be a DIY? Sorry I don't have anymore details. Thanks! Andy Oh yeah, the subject should read DIY

Is it the Air oil Seperator? AOS is in a remote spot not easy to replace.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No, it's simply a breather hose that runs aspirated oil back to the cylinder head, part of the emissions system (like an EGR valve, but not)

has this turned into the 944 forum? next post will read "me and my dad..."

I'm sorry but I just don't get your comments. They certainly are not constructive or helpful. I thought Rennlist was a supportive community for enthusiasts of Porsche cars.
