Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bought the car in February from a Chevy dealer with no records or PPI. Took a chance, but price was low enough to feel ok that putting another $5 grand into it was not going to hurt me. Bought it long distance and had it shipped to me. Jjust got off the phone with previous owner where he provided a recap of the work he had done to it. it included LN imsb, clutch, rms, water pump, thermostat, coolant flush, new top hydraulic cylinders and pump. Had radiators cleaned and top drains cleaned. He spent about $10,000 over the previous 18 months. I have not been driving the car yet, working out a work list, i am down to only replacing the aos. Which will be the uaos as soon as I ca n get one. I think I won the lottery today.

POST 5Original post

Congrats on your 2003 Cab. My first 911 I bought off the showroom floor was a 2003 Cab. I owned the car until 2018 and put on 78K trouble free miles. Great car, a blast to drive and I'm sure you will have a ton of fun driving this car. For all the knocks that the 996 generation cars have, they are the most affordable, fun, and a true performance sports car. Give the car the TLC it deserves and you will not look back

POST 6Original post

Welcome to the group! Congratulations! It sounds like a winner! Totally agree with the UAOS. The AOS creates a lot of grief. Change the oil to start it on your own path. Don't smile too much while driving!
