Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How do I remove the rocker switches from the horseshoe around the radio? I have the horseshoe pulled away and I've unplugged the switch I want to check, but can't figure out how the switch is held in.

POST 2Original post

It's been a while, but you push them from the front out towards the back. You might need to use a small screwdriver from the back to release one side of it.

POST 3Original post

There are snap-in tabs, top and bottom. I can't recall which wants to be released first, which you want to figure out before trying to re-insert it.. Try squeezing it top and bottom, then try either a small screwdriver or even a butter knife.

POST 4Original post

I just push from the back once horseshoe has been removed.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So is it push from the back and take it out from the front?

POST 6Original post

It comes out from the back and has tabs that hold it in. As theBowl said, there are tabs on the bottom top from the back. Depress one of these tabs and rock it up or down, it will come out. Pushing from the front helps.

You know, from the title of this thread, you had me expecting something a helluva lot more interesting . . .
