Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to post up my experience with Function First for anyone else about to undertake replacing their engine mounts.
First off, Luka @ Function First 'gets' what customer service is all about; I had a lot of questions before ordering and he always got back to me quickly and with direct answers, which is much appreciated. He even emailed me back within a few minutes when I emailed him at 11pm one night LOL!
Shipping to Canada was reasonably priced, took 1 week, and the product was well packaged for its trip.
As for the product, as you can expect the mounts are not as beautiful as the Wevo or RSS products as afterall, they are modified OE mounts. But they were in mint condition and the aftermarket work they perform on the OE mount is of top quality. I was very happy with the look, feel, detail of them.
Install is simple; I followed the Pelican DIY and it's spot on in terms of steps and direction. Nothing more really needs to be mentioned here, very easy DIY.
As for the finished result; well just look at how bad condition my OE units were (original mounts on '03 C4S). One was leaking the hydraulic fluid, and both were VERY worn and extended. So as you can imagine, the new mounts had a profound, immediate impact. The exhaust tips went WAY up as expected and shown in the photos below.
On idle, I notice no additional vibration or noise in the cabin. There is a small amount of vibration in the lower rev range when pulling away from a light, which is to be expected with semi-solid motor mounts - but it is minimal and I read that the vibrations are almost eliminated after a few hundred KM as they break in.
As most people report, the car feels much 'tighter' like you might describe a new car to feel like. Over bumps there seems to be less weight moving around / less chassis flex and the car is more planted. Shifting feel is improved. Overall a very 'tactile' upgrade although hard to articulate in words if that makes sense...
So, two thumbs up for Function First motor mounts and Function First as a company. Hope this feeback may prove useful for anyone else about to upgrade their motor mounts, as there is not a whole lot of feedback on the FF mounts on this forum yet.
Cheers
Chris

Nice ride - need to update my mounts this year and am debating between the 3 or 4 major options, Wevo, RSS, OEM, etc...
Keep us posted on how they hold up over the next few months.
Indeed, Cobalt blue. Thanks, I love it - I have a 'thing' for blue cars. I am also sporting an Estoril Blue F30 335i as my DD so it's just bright blue after bright blue... my family thinks it's weird.
Price was $265 USD without core exchange as my OE units were fully cooked; they were not salvageable. Even without core exchange, they're still much less than the other semi solid mounts.
