Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Current Seller bought it and brought it to TX, but since repaired, hasn't put any miles on it...weird.

Told me that it could use an alignment before driving very far, so I question suspension and/or frame damage.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2002 911Turbo with 62K miles, a rebuilt title from a rear-end collision, but priced accordingly.
I'm having a PPI performed (of course), but are there specific things I should ask the shop to do that might be outside the scope of a normal PPI? No records, so can a shop tell about wear items like clutch condition? What would be known culprits to look for on the Turbo with moderate miles and not intending to track it?
Depending on how hard it was hit in the rear, might want to look for another one without any surprises.
when they are cheap it’s for a reason lots of problems come with it.
My self-imposed budget for toys doesn't get me into the Turbo world, but this one does. The PPI will be the deal-breaker if he finds anything bent or weird in the engine bay, but from the outside, the car looks straight. Up close things might not be as pretty with paint work or fitment, but that's what I'll be paying a wrench to inspect. Cosmetics are a big thing to me.
Mechanically is where I'm new to Turbos. Is there a 60K mile service that might not have been done? How long will a clutch last with normal driving habits (could this be the original?). What surprises could there be that a PPI could uncover?
Seller is well-heeled, and has actually traded up from the Turbo to a GTR, so there's some sort of comfort level that the car is straight. Maybe I'm wrong, but by this time next week, we'll know.
A GTR is a Fast 'n Furious kind of boy racer killer car; 550HP stock. There's speed to trade up to, but there can be costs, like prestige. Apples and oranges to a Porsche.
I've since learned that the car's spent it's whole life in CT and NY, so a northern salt car. Current Seller bought it and brought it to TX, but since repaired, hasn't put any miles on it...weird. Told me that it could use an alignment before driving very far, so I question suspension and/or frame damage. Told him to get his own alignment before we take it for a PPI, and that's where we are. Not looking like a deal any longer if he's being shady with answers.
