You could use the C2 cluster in a C4 IF you had a PIWIS to "recode" the cluster to C4, then calibrate it..But the PIWIS can't change mileage, there are specialty companys that can change mileage.

Can 996.1 C2 and C4 6 speed clusters be swapped straight up? If not, what are the issues? I have a nice C2 cluster that I'd like to install in my C4. I had assumed that they would exchange but searched and didn't find any info.

So in my 996.1 rebuild to a 997 engine I had to also swap to a 996.2 cluster. I did not think that there would be a difference between to C2 and C4S. So I put the C4s cluster in C2. Everything works perfect except fuel gauge...now I run out of gas at 1 quarter tank. Ask me how I know. So my guess you would have similar issues.
