I whipped out my multimeter as well to test the switches to make sure they're getting juice and im seeing 1.57v from one contact to ground (is this normal?).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hi all. i'm a bit stuck. i just replaced my window regulator and was in the process of adjusting it so that it closes properly when suddenly, my switches stopped working. It's strange because both my passenger side and driver side window switches dont work (i was only working on the driver side regulator), but both windows go up and go down when I open / close the doors. I whipped out my multimeter as well to test the switches to make sure they're getting juice and im seeing 1.57v from one contact to ground (is this normal?). Anyone have experience in this issue? I checked the fuses as well, everything seems in order. I just need to be able to lower my window so i can loosen the bolts and adjust. Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

Is your sunroof dead along with the inside door marker lights? This happened to mine and it was fuse C3.

POST 3Original post

Hopefully you followed the rules about working around the airbags...disconnect the battery and wait 20-30 minutes. If you didn't kill the power more than likely you blew a fuse while working on the electrics in the door panel. That aside, you need to plug the airbag in while making the adjustments otherwise it will throw a CEL for the airbag which will then need to be reset. After adjustments follow the procedure again for disconnecting the airbag. Seems that a fuse is the first place to look given that it affects both windows.
