My only modifications are clear side markers, a Euro style front plate, and I just purchased the IwireP to use my iPhone for music.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey all! Just purchased my first Porsche a week ago and wanted to show her off. I bought it from Leith Porsche in NC. The car did have an IMS bearing failure around 22,000 miles and the entire engine was replaced. It has 50k as of my purchase. The previous owner had some fairly cheap aftermarket rims but luckily it came with the original rims. As part of the deal I had the dealership pay to refinish the OEM rims and install them. My only modifications are clear side markers, a Euro style front plate, and I just purchased the IwireP to use my iPhone for music. I can't get enough of this car! Every time I open the garage I get a real s*** eating grin! haha wLNezIo.jpg jkApqbQ.jpg hEdeHHR.jpg WlNz8EW.jpg XlycEnF.jpg SPvl2DA.jpg Next to my 2016 Mustang GT

POST 2Original post

Congrats on your new cab. Having a replacement engine isn't too shabby either. How do you like your GT?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks! I love the Mustang. Its a real monster. Its got intake, Kook's Headers, Borla exhaust, and a custom 93 octane tune. It dynoed at 401 RWHP.

POST 4Original post

Porsche really got the 2002 18" Carrera wheels right - good move to put them back on. Best of luck with the car and welcome to the club! Incidentally, mine is an 02 coupe with 59K miles. Waiting for my clear Hella markers to arrive in the mail.

I just did mine today! I was really surprised how easy they were to install. They definitely look nicer than the orange ones!

POST 6Original post

Looks great, now just do your motor mounts and tighten up those tail pipes!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So whats the deal with the mounts and are the pipes dropping or something? haha

POST 9Original post

Nice ride! Congrats! Check your roof drains are clear, and remove the bumper before spring and clean out all the crap that gets trapped in the rads. I thought I have vacuumed mine pretty good....till I removed the bumper and dug out about a gallon of additional crud.

POST 10Original post

Congrats! Classic look on a very nice 996 Cab. Enjoy!

25,450. I was using another 996 in a nearby city as a haggling tool until they tossed a carfax in front of me showing the car had twice the miles, 5 owners, and a wreck on it. Lol Way to call my bluff. Haha.

POST 14Original post

Congratulations ! Sweet looking ride.....welcome !

Thanks! I'm definitely going to need some of that wisdom. Especially since she broke down today

POST 17Original post

Great-looking car and a very fair price. What do you mean by "broke down"? [Tip: Ya might want to change your screen name... we already got a Krazyk]

There's a thread on it. Something with the trans is messed up. After getting off the highway the car wouldn't move after stopping at a light.
