The 2 week cure is for a very thick application I believe, if I'm reading the chart right. For a real thin layer as would/should be the case for sealing a sump plate it should cure in just minutes if not sooner.

It has zero positives as far as I am concerned. The turnover time requires components to be rushed to be assembled, its a pain to clean, the tube goes bad in a few days after first use, and it doesn't seal well. Its one of those things that people use just because Porsche recommends it. Those recommendations keep people from using their own damn brains. I do things pretty much opposite from what they say. Dreibond has kept my engines bone dry for over a decade.
