Or should that be tightened while the side frame is "on the floor"?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What's the trick here? How are you supposed to keep that nut in place while tightening the bolt to 180Nm ? Or should that be tightened while the side frame is "on the floor"? ps. Is that cut really original or did someone cut more room for the structure. To me this look like Porsche drop the ball here while designing that structure.

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ah, you can get a wrench there but that brake line is dangerously close while trying to push that bolt below to 180Nm....

POST 3Original post

I didn't have to relocate the brake line but, yeah, that's your access.

POST 5Original post

Quotes source post: 18343939

Yep, though I found that top nut didn't really need to be held in place much after initial tightening. And definitely keep an eye on that brake line.

POST 6Original post

I used the open end of my wrench. Did not need to remove any brake line.
