Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Previously you had to use the 285/35 in that width.
Leading evidence: 'Use 285/35 in' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use 285/35 in' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm still stuck on tire sizing and feel like I am way overthinking it.
recently got my 996 and starting to look into tires. trying to figure out which type of wheels I have, since they appear OEM but not like others I keep seeing. They are 18's, maybe BBS sport wheels? This car is a fair weather driver for spirited driving. no track days, no winter.
Currently the car is sitting on michelin pilot sport 4s. They are a different size from stock. After reading about the ratio requirements and comparing stock to my current tires, it appears that I have +2% rather than -1.6%, where the back wheel should have a small amount more Revolutions then the front tire.
With that being said im not sure what size Wheels i actually have and what size tires they would accommodate. I read some reviews on Front 235/40-18 and Rear 295/30/18. Which keeps almost the same exact OEM sizing ratio.
Any help would be much appreciated! never had a vehicle where sizing was so crucial!
Below is the ratio of Current and OEM tires. Thanks!
Agree with taking them off and looking at the molded information on the inside of the wheel. Here are the specifications

a quick update!
Pulling the wheels revealed they are indeed Victor Equipment wheels
Front 18x8
Rear 18x11
I'm still stuck on tire sizing and feel like I am way overthinking it.
235/40-18 and 285/30-18 is -2.8% which is still in the window of acceptable
235/40-18 and 295/30-18 is exactly the same as the stocks -1.6% ratio (seems to be limited tire options)
235/40-18 and 315/30-18 (seems popular) fits 11 inch rims but is a 0% ratio....100% matching tire diameter i think would mess up PSM, ABS, ect.do to loss of wheel revolutions
245/40-18 and 315/30-18 is -1.2% so really close to stock
anyone wish to comment before blood shoots out my nose...
