Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My son is car sitting for me while I'm out of the country. Apparently the previous owner rigged the low beam bulb to stay in place with wire/string but now the rigging job is failing. Any ideas on how to source a replacement tab to hold the bulb in place?

POST 2Original post

What year is the car? You can navigate this website to find the part that is broken and/or that you need to replace. http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=905-03 If this is the wrong model you can navigate backward and just make sure you're on the "Electric" tab and you'll see all the other model headlights about mid-way down the page. Joy of joys - it's a sealed unit and you get to play with glue. You'll have to use a heat gun to separate the headlight housing. I've never done it but I've read it's not a very fun job. New headlights are not cheap but would save you lots of swear words if you're not looking forward to the opening procedure.
