Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I found several places using a Google search that will strip the finish to bare metal and then refinish them in the color of your choice.
Leading evidence: 'Use google search' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use google search' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I ordered stickers on eBay and then added a layer of clear coat to preserve the stickers (that actually didn't work well, two of them are already distorted
Does anybody know of a company that will rebuild & paint calipers? I tried PMB Performance but Eric said they don't have kits to rebuild the 996 calipers.
When I still had my 996, I was looking for this kind of a service. I found several places using a Google search that will strip the finish to bare metal and then refinish them in the color of your choice. I'm sorry that I don't remember the name of any of the companies. What I do remember is that the service isn't cheap!
Here is a shop. Lots of them around. I used a place in NJ a few years back came out great BUT he Porsche sticker wound up to be a problem. Never could figure out how to make that vinyl decal stick.
Best approach is probably white high temp paint with stencil you can buy on eBay. Never worked out well for me to be honest with you. But I suck painting anything!
Just look up powder coating on Google.
Caliper rebuilt kits can be purchased from your dealer.

Don't know these guys just giving you an example
I sent mine to a shop for powder coating and they came out great. I ordered stickers on eBay and then added a layer of clear coat to preserve the stickers (that actually didn't work well, two of them are already distorted
). I also got a rebuild kit on eBay and it's working fine.
Thanks for the responses, guys. I've read all the zillion threads about painting them, etc. I realize now that I inadvertently said "painting" in my post, but I am really interested in a full strip-down and powder coat. I've found companies online that offer that of course, but was hoping someone knew of a local option so that I could avoid shipping off calipers and being without the car for so long.
There are loads of little shops in the industrial areas around San Diego that can do this - this must be true for Dallas as well. I did a Google search and saw lots of results. You may not find a Porsche-specific shop, but as long as you can supply the rebuild kit, a caliper is a caliper.
If you can't find someone local, you may want to contact goldline brakes in Seattle. They have done 911 SC and 914 calipers for me. I'm not sure about the newer models but he's a good guy, small operation, good communication, etc.
I've had some Brembo's powdercoated quite awhile ago but depending on their powdercoat methods, the good ones will play it safe and remove the piston dust shields and or inspect it and replace it if they are worn already(via multiple extreme heat cycles aka track duties).
I say "depending on their methods" as some powder coaters uses higher heat and duration during the curing time than others. This is where some customers powdercoating wheels could sacrifice their wheel strength if powdercoater goes aggressive with the heat/duration times as this could affect metalurgy of forged wheels especially.
Make sure you pick a powdercoater that has done automotive wheels/calipers before. Some around me only do industrial equipment or tools for big box stores like Home Depot and aren't bound to the same constraints as doing certain automotive parts.
