Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My wife has a hot ***... literally. The seat heater on the passenger side will simply not turn off. As soon as the ignition is turned on the seat heater starts up on high. Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

Pics or it never happened! No seat but the wife.......

That's pretty sneaky my friend!

POST 5Original post

Oil her *** before she sits down, otherwise she might stick to th seat. Pop the panel off and disconnect the switch or disconnect fuze.

POST 7Original post

Can you pull the fuse until you can replace the relay? Geeze louise, this board's got a lot of people whose minds go to the gutter quickly. I guess I've found my home. - Fast Frank

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source posts: 12513099, 12513527

Thanks, I'll de-fuse and then have the relay checked out. Strange that it would randomly happen in the summer when nobody would be using it. Last thing we'd want on is the seat heater when it's so hot out.

POST 10Original post

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Suggested air conditioning, water cooling and going commando. Didn't exactly get the results I was hoping for. That having been said, at least the couch is comfy... Thanks for the input. Removed fuse and waiting to see what goes sideways next. Every day is a new adventure in 996 land!
