No burping, but I do change the nappies when needed.

To this day I have a hard time not bringing the pump up to an amount divisible by 5 - just can't do it, even though I always use a card!
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I was filing up the other day, and while standing by holding the filler nozzle I thought about something my grandpa used to do to his old Chevy when filing up the tank. So when the pump auto stopped, I pushed down on the fender making the car bounce a little and then I heard what I thought was a burp. I then was able to add almost another gallon of gas. Do you burp your 911?
Burp it enough and you will be replacing the charcoal canister and most of the vapor recovery system. A set of components that your grandpa's car didn't have.
Actually if you can burp it and get that much in afterwards, I'd say the damage already has been done. Get the exhaust vent (mine somehow had gotten all mangled up???) and canister checked.
When the pump shuts off, never try to top it off as it will backwash into the canister which prevents proper venting and results in the type of thing you are experiencing.
" You no Top Off " that's what my motor pool Sergeant in the Army always used to tell me, lol. I know to well all about the canister and it's related componentry. Was just pretending to do this to amuse my wife, lol. Have a great Sunday gents and " No top off" lol.
35+ years ago I spent a year as a gas jockey at a rest area on the NYS Thruway, and because we were usually busy, and many people still paid with cash, we always tried to round purchases to the nearest 25 cents, or at least 10 cents, to avoid dealing with lots of change. To this day I have a hard time not bringing the pump up to an amount divisible by 5 - just can't do it, even though I always use a card! But I may rethink this, based on this thread.
I usually stop dead center on the $ with no cents. Helps me detect fraudulent gas charges. Or you can choose your own code $xx.36. This way you know it's you!
