Can anyone confirm this before I send my fried unit out for a $700 rebuilt rather than using a $80 replacement part from a dismantler?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've currently got PSM woes. The dreaded 'PSM Failure. Drive to Workshop" message. My indy has had the car for a week now and had traced it to a bad PSM/SBS pre-charge pump. He replaced that and found the control module is throwing + voltage to the pump ground which probably fired the original pump. I'd love to be able to replace it with a used module but the Indy states it's coded to the car. Can anyone confirm this before I send my fried unit out for a $700 rebuilt rather than using a $80 replacement part from a dismantler? Thanks much.
