Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So, I blew the top off of a washer nozzle the ONE *@&% time that I used it. I don't intend to EVER use these again.
Is there any option to make it look decent again besides buying the $200 nozzle assembly? It seems like I read about someone making a mold to produce the caps to glue on, but I can't find it.
I don't recall the part being that expensive when we had to replace ours and bought it from a Porsche dealer (probably 6 or 7 years ago now though), but that's the only option I know of. Ours never went back in right either so it sticks up higher than the other side
I keep telling myself I'll just delete them, but I keep not getting around to it
I'm always afraid of breaking those nozzles when I wash my car as the wash mitt (one of the "Rasta Head" micro fiber ones) always gets caught on them. $200 and change seems a little steep...
I found a thread (that I can no longer find) that said to order these BMW nozzles for $33, get the nozzle caps off and glue them onto the broken 996 nozzle. That part looks 100% the same.

Had those damn things on my Boxster - EVERY time I'd wash it, one would go flying. For something I never used a single time, they were a lot of trouble.
This has been on my to do list. Do you have to plug the hoses behind the bumper? I'd imagine it's a remove the sprayers and as much hose back to the reservoir?
You got it. You can plug the hose at the ends or remove the hoses back to the pump. Headlight washer is on a separate pump but share the same common tank as the windshield washer. You can also unplug the connector going to the headlight washer pump to play it safe as well.
