Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So i have the dreaded CAT rattle in my bank 1 CAT. Currently have OEM orig. in my '02 C2. Indy says replace with OEM is $2400 plus labor so around $3k. Looking on line many choices for aftermarket. Really like the Soul Performance and heard/read many good things, however i am in the Peoples Republic of California so i am hesitant. Found Magna Flow which are CARB compliant and on the approved list. Anyone out there know about the Magna Flows?? What would you guys do? I can get two new aftermarkets and probably install myself for less than OEM.

seems they're a little more expensive today, but still beats whatever the stealership is trying to charge...
Have you taken the broken cat off? Try shaking out the broken off piece. I had a rattle in my Rubicon that drove me nuts for months because I thought it was a loose heat shield. Turned out 3 or 4 small pieces of cat worked their way to the muffler and were bouncing around like marbles.
It doesn't matter if your car rattles, It matters if you don't pass the emissions test. In my experience Smog Testing in poorer areas are easier to pass.
UPDATE: Bought the Magnaflows and installed yesterday. Fairly straight forward install. The header bolts are challenging to get to! They seem a bit lighter than the OEMs and give a nicer growl at around 4500+ rpm. Hope to have many happy miles on these. Happy New Year everyone.
