Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. I removed brake fluid during the install to account for the thicker pads (new) then adjusted the fluid level to the "max" line.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust fluid level' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust fluid level' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
Check your sensors, usually have to replace these as well, if they are brittle, will yield a warning light.

I unpaired the Autologic machine and reset the car, and when started the car again( hoping that the temperature will show up☺), I noticed that the light next to hand brake light is lit annoingly and disturbingly 😃🙄.

Hi guys, I just registered on this forum and I would like to share with you a problem that I've encountered after using Autologic diagnose machine on my Boxster 986 S 2004 in order to achieve outside temperature displayed on my instrument cluster.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all - Just replaced pads on all 4 wheels. I removed brake fluid during the install to account for the thicker pads (new) then adjusted the fluid level to the "max" line. Now the "Brake Fluid" warning light is on, I rechecked the level and it is correct. Brakes feel solid so I dont think there is any air in the system.
Am I missing something? Best way to reset?
Thanks,
Jeev
As Chris said, check your sensors. The brake light does NOT get reset. It will go away when the fault (usually a broken circuit on a brake sensor) is fixed.
If you have gotten air into the PSM system bleeding it out requires the Porsche System Test Computer. I known this from experience. PSM will give a warning display on the LCD and brake light every time PSM is activated. The Test Computer is used to turn the PSM pump on so bleeding will remove air from that system.
Folks a "Brake Fluid" warning light and a "Brake Wear" warning light are two different lights.
If he is getting a "Brake Fluid" light it has nothing to do with the pad sensors. The Brake Fluid light comes on when either the fluid level is low (which he says it is not) or when the ABS circuit detects a failure in one of the two brake circuits.
If you push the pads back too fast or unevenly you can get air in the system. I always bleed the brakes after a pad change. The first thing I would do is bleed the brakes - it is not that hard (or expense) and will eliminate air as a possibility. If that doesn't work then he needs to find a shop with a PST2 (or PIWIS) tester to see what (if any) ABS or brake system codes he has.
Hi guys, I just registered on this forum and I would like to share with you a problem that I've encountered after using Autologic diagnose machine on my Boxster 986 S 2004 in order to achieve outside temperature displayed on my instrument cluster. After connecting the machine to my car, I went to instrument cluster-coding- on board computer- selected 'with' and pressed 'code'. Nothing happened, no temperature displayed on my instrument clusters. If nothing happened, I've runned a static diagnose test on ABS and it was successful, no errors. I unpaired the Autologic machine and reset the car, and when started the car again( hoping that the temperature will show up☺), I noticed that the light next to hand brake light is lit annoingly and disturbingly 😃🙄. The level of the liquid is just a bit below maximum and my pads are 2 months old. Can please someone advise me with what I can do to fix this problem and maybe to help me have the outside temperature on my instruments cluster?
Thank you in advance!🙂
