I replaced a different aftermarket head unit, and whoever installed that hacked the wires instead of using a jumper, so that option is not on the table for me.

I installed my new Continental head unit and when I turned everything on� no sound. Did some research and found that the �amplifier on� signal wire from the yellow plug is the issue. What is stumping me is that there is not a wire on the Continental that serves that purpose. The car is a 2002 and the option sticker lists 680 as the stock audio system. I replaced a different aftermarket head unit, and whoever installed that hacked the wires instead of using a jumper, so that option is not on the table for me. That unit had a dedicated wire for the amplifier. Which wire should I splice the stock black/red wire into for the amplifier? View of the Continental plug. The suspected culprit wire, in the yellow connector.

just did mine an hr ago. I have m490 and got the harness from that continental place in Norway. 81$. Took 10 min
