Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This is cross-posted from "What did you do......." thread. I've read over 300 pages of this forum and searched extensively, but still have a very specific suspension question.
I bought a 66,000 mile 2004 996 coupe that I described in an earlier post. The shocks and struts were replaced with Bilstein B4's (oem equiv) at 56,000 miles, and the car has not been driven hard. So there is no appreciable wear. I was tempted to do the springs and Bilstein B8's treatment, but I've just spend money on an AOS and new clutch and really don't need the lowering on the mountain roads here in western NC . The car handles very nicely but with some lean (also have a 981 Boxster with X73, so I'm familiar with sport suspension). I have thought seriously about the Eibach swaybars as a first step in handling improvement. Car has good Pilot Sports, new motor mounts, and new brakes, and bushings are in nice shape..
I am interested in knowing about impressions from anyone who has kept OEM springs with good shocks and added swaybars. , so am most interested in more about your experience and impression. I don't expect night and day trans formation, but would like to see some incremental improvement.
Thanks for any comments from anyone on this relatively uncommon combination.

Hey there Neighbor
. I have just done exactly what you are asking, and the results are excellent. I've got new B4s, bump stops etc, and stock springs (original) and I just added Eibach 22mm adjustable rear and the 26mm non adjustable front, and the improvement in ride was immediately noticeable. Sharper steering, less roll, and only slightly more harshness over straight line 'irregularities'. I prefer the stock 'offroad' ride height and 17s, they suit the roads around here better imho.
I have Eibach anti-sway bars with Feal coilovers. I know you asked about stock suspension with the Eibachs, but honestly I don't see why it would matter. Both setups are starting from a relative baseline, then adding the Eibachs into the mix. I would say that adding the upgraded anti-sway bars was a noticeable and worthwhile upgrade. It does seem to stay flatter while cornering. My car doesn't get unsettled very easily. They may have exposed a slight handling weakness in my new, but stock motor mounts. I should probably fit the RS mounts when I get a chance, as I think I feel a little bit of engine movement at times. Could just be my imagination. If anything, I wish that I had bought different ones that also have adjustability on the front bar. The Eibachs are only adjustable on the rear bar. I have the rear bar set on the middle hole and never tried any of the others.
+1 on middle setting for rear Eibach sway. Might be the best dollars-to-donuts value suspension upgrade you can buy, with stiffer transmission mount damper being the other one.
