Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

He swapped my old stock springs in for the H&R lowering springs I put in about 8k miles ago and the car seems fixed.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had a knock in front left. It would happen when warm and at slow speeds. I took to a indie in the area who supposedly one of the best in mass and was told I needed a new differential and a lower control arm. The price was over 8k. I called around, I came on here and then eventually went to a new indie in my town. He swapped my old stock springs in for the H&R lowering springs I put in about 8k miles ago and the car seems fixed. I ran it through all my tests and the noise is gone. Bottom line, get a 2nd opinion when in doubt. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Bilstein B8s. There is a rubber sleeve on the springs, I wonder if that was suppose to cover the end where it sits in the perch? On one it was flush with the ends. On the other it wasnt. Besides the cost, its sort of nice to have it back to stock height. It looks like a safari 😜😜😜. Sometimes that extra inch was troublesome.
