Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How do you get the lowbeam bulb outa the mother fricking housing man! I did it before and can't remember and cant find anything on YouTube and I'm really frustrated!! Thank you Rob G

POST 2Original post

Oh, sorry, can't help you man. I thought this was the start of a support group and came here for help because, in response to your thread title, "I am too and so do I". On a serious note, look at the base of the replacement bulb. That should give you an idea of what ***** or edges are being used to hold the bulb in place. Look for tabs on the housing to push down.

POST 3Original post

Cut the wires, tape in the new one in its place. Any other problems I can solve?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

LOL I changed out my muffler I replace my spark plugs I do my own oil changes but I can't get this freaking bulb out. I tried the tabs. I tried everything. I want my mommy

POST 5Original post

1st step is to identify/admit the problem. Check/check. Have you tried pushing bulb inward 3/8" & then 1/4 turn counterclockwise?

POST 6Original post

It should just push and twist if I remeber right - but if it's been in there a while it could have corroded or melted in there - try some heat or freeze spray on the metal part of the bulb and twist carefully with a glove - it you break the glass then you can try the old potato trick !!

POST 7Original post

The silver (metal flange) part pulls straight out of the black part. http://www.bombaydigital.com/boxster/projects/headlamp/

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I got it. It was a little corrosion that had it glued in there. Thanks
