I did a quick search to see if it was possible to replace the center faceplate with LED display only, but I could only find used CR-220 radios for sale.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My LED display on the original CR-220 radio unit just went out. When I turn the radio on, the entire screen has a faint glow, but no numbers showing. I did a quick search to see if it was possible to replace the center faceplate with LED display only, but I could only find used CR-220 radios for sale. Does anyone know if the faceplates are available separately or whether there is a quick fix for what I'm seeing?

POST 2Original post

I have the same issue, though I still have a partial, though completely useless, amount of lcd display glow. I recently had the battery off for some work and now it's in security mode and I'm stuck without any tunes at all haha. Hoping there's some solution to this without replacing the stereo, otherwise I may be doing the single din PCCM+ Sooner than I'd planned...
