Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All - should the rear emblem on a 2001 911 say Carrera or 911? Thank you

POST 2Original post

Could be either. Stock is Carrera, but during the ordering process you have the option to request 911. However, all 40th Anniversay editions have 911 in the back and in the center console. They're not 2001 though.

It's been a long time, but I don't recall that option when we ordered ours. The default was Carrera or Carrera 4, or you could select the delete option to remove it. I think the 911 build option came later.

I stand corrected sir.

POST 7Original post

A previous owner could have switched the rear badge.

POST 9Original post

I thought 911 was only on the 40th AE.

POST 10Original post

Which also means that it isn't an 01 Ok, so Turbo was the default of the TT that year

POST 11Original post

Could be, I was really just responding with what I recall being the available option for MY01.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks. Maybe it was replaced aftermarket.

POST 13Original post

The rear badge is just stick-on. Easy to remove/replace. I had to replace the badge on my 986 after someone vandalized it.

POST 14Original post

Millennium Edition had the 911 badge too I think...yes?

POST 15Original post

I think the original location of the badge is down lower on the deck lid, like so:

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
