Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yes on fuel stabilizer and in addition I filled the tank but that may not be necessary.
Leading evidence: 'Fill tank' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm hoping i can keep my car on the road till around NOV.1. But you never know with our Ontario Weather.
Any recommendations for Storage? First time storing a vehicle (in my garage) for the winter.
Seafoam or Stabil? For the fuel (full tank) for storage.
Pull the Battery? Keep it inside on a battery tender?
Park the tires on some old Durofoam insulation?
Cover it with an old clean sheet? i dont want Salt/Crap splashing on it from my other cars.
I store my car outside in Ontario all winter under a weather proof car cover, tied down. I over inflate the tires, leave the battery in on a tender, add fuel stabilizer, put some dryer sheets in the interior and bricks behind the tires and that's it. Depending where it's stored by biggest concern is mice/rodents.
I used to live in a cold climate so had to go through this routine. Yes on fuel stabilizer and in addition I filled the tank but that may not be necessary. Dryer sheets on the floor and frunk, battery tender, inflate tires to 50 psi and get a good cover to tuck her in. And then wait until spring rains to wash all the salt off the roads. That worked for 12 years, YMMV.
Must this start already?
I just put the bow rider to sleep. Still have the fishing boat to get out on the water. I hate winter.
step 1: change the oil.
step2: add stabilizer to gas
step 3: drive to gas station to circulate new oil. Fill gas tank with esso/petrocan/Costco premium (not 94 recommendation should not contain alcohol)
step 4: put bounce dryer sheets in car and frunk(yes, only bounce. Check boat websites. Other brands don’t work as well).
step 5: park the car after at least a five minute drive to avoid excessive fuel in motor
step 6: fill tires to 50 lbs. (radial tires unflat in less than a km; no need to park on insulation)
step 7: plug car in to tender or remove battery and do same
step 8: be pissed off that the toys are away
Triggz82 - which car cover do you use? I am in Nova Scotia and winter is on its way.
Am debating whether the 996 or the MGB gets the garage space this year. As a vert, the MGB isn't fond of the snow and wind.
Use Driven Injector Defender - excellent fuel stabilizer
Keep it on a battery tender
Put the car on jack stands with the weight off the tires slightly.
Are you storing it in a parking garage with other cars? I'd get full wrap cover that buckles underneath.
Also, I'd recommend changing the oil just prior to storage. Some people store cars "dry" or fluids flushed, but the biggest one is the oil.
Great info for cold storage.
What about longer-term storage? I'm heading abroad (for work) and am unable to take my 2004 C4s. Options are: have my company (the USG) store it for 3 years or I park it at my cabin in a detached, unheated garage in northern MN. If parked there, I can tinker and drive it during summer vacations but what should be considered before storing it in my garage or at the expense of my company in a temp-controlled storage facility for a few years? My preference is keeping it in my garage but the temperatures are extreme, like -10 to 15 ambient in January/February. The garage is tight, but there is always the threat of mice, squirrels, lemmings, and even the two-legged variants of trouble-causers.
I also have a Land Rover Discovery that I've kept there for several years, same as described above: I pull the battery, top up fuel tank, Staybil, mothballs, dryer sheets & steel wool in the exhausts openings. I have not had any issues with mice and such. However, my C4s is better looked after than my LR so I am a bit more careful/cautious about committing to self-storage.
Car is a 2004 C4s, 6spd, with 91xxx miles.
^^ummm..I think you missed the point. They are talking about storing a
CAR
through the winter (cold) months. Not about running a cold storage facility.
