Since my battery was disconnected my pcm2 date is back in 2001 and cant reset it. Do i remember correctly i need to drive far enough to allow thd pcm2 unit to read the cd map and then the date gets automatically updated via the gps ? Is there another way to change the date ?

PCM2 date is going to be wrong forever, there's a bug in the firmware and Porsche isn't going to fix it. Porsche bulletin # 1904 refers to it.
