Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

A good detailer can fill missing paint and then block sand flat....i have seen miracles.

I had great results using Helmsman Clear Urethane, mix ix 50/50 with mineral spirit and apply with a lint free cloth.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My car has had a few blemishes ever since I got it. Apart from the usual front bumper hood rock chips theres some scratches that have bugged me since day one. Would a paint correction get rid of these or am I looking at having to resorts these areas? The small dent I know would need to be hammered out.
Its difficult to tell from the photos. Theres a good chance that a clay bar and and a multi stage buff/polish could take out the paint blemishes. As for the small dent, Id bet a glue pull would be able to get it just about perfect...
Yeah agree with rest....first get a PDR guy to get metal smooth then have detailer do magic. Don't polish or buff until PDR is done. For what it is worth, headlights are a peice of cake to do yourself.
Thanks Lowpue. I did the headlights myself about a year ago. Looked decent for a while but then turned yellow again. The guy doing it this week includes sealing after polishing. Gets great reviews and for $85 its not much more than the cost of materials doing it myself.
It is hard to tell from the pictures, anywhere that the paint looks like its gone is touch up or repaint. Once the paint is gone there is not anything to correct. The white streaks might come out as long as there is paint there.
the trick is to put expel on the headlight after doing it and that protects against UV....never have to polish again.

I did the expel film on my lights after polishing. The problem is, it doesn't cover the entire light module. It leaves about an inch of the upper/outside edge exposed - which is now starting to yellow on mine... Bummer
... I'm not sure if I'll have to remove the film to polish those edges (probably because the film is pretty thick)... Oh well, live and learn...
Yeah....that's a lot of exposed headlight plastic....the expel should pretty much cover it all to work.... but doesn't that prove my point, where the film covers there is no clouding.
Yeah for sure - where the light is covered by the Expel film it's fine. Unfortunately, the pre-cut Expel for the 996.1 (which is what I bought) doesn't cover the entire plastic surface of the light. You'd think for $65 (or what ever I paid... I think it was around there) they could cut it to cover the entire light...
I've refinished a few car headlights and they look great after polishing but then fade again as teh polish/wax washes off. I had great results using Helmsman Clear Urethane, mix ix 50/50 with mineral spirit and apply with a lint free cloth. It levels perfectly and lasts
