Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I use Bubble Bum inflatable boosters for them, which work quite well and are also great for travel.

I'm justing starting my education with the 996 as a potential "toy" purchase to replace a jeep and a Harley.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Since this is the only sub-forum I will probably ever look at except the classifieds I thought I would say Hi!
I'm justing starting my education with the 996 as a potential "toy" purchase to replace a jeep and a Harley. Of coarse the wife wants me to go for a tiptronic cab and I would want a coupe 6 speed. My friends are already busting my nuts about driving a "girls convertible", ugh. It never ends does it...
Lots to take in on this model. A couple things which have almost scared me away for good.
But I just keep finding myself back here for more....
I would love to meet up with someone near the West side of Indy that would be willing to show me there 996 and maybe take me for a spin.
Be safe.

Drive them both before committing to either.. I did as I was on the fence. In the end the coupe due to the chassis feel and overall feel. But like you my kids and better half wanted the cabriolet. The back seat is smaller and more "upright" in the cab if you are worried about that at all.. Happy hunting!
My 8 and 10 year old love my cab. They were 7 and 9 when I got it. I use Bubble Bum inflatable boosters for them, which work quite well and are also great for travel. One thing to note with the cab is that if you have the top down and you used the wind deflector, you lose the rear seat so the car is a 2-seater. I have the passenger side airbag switch on mine, so if we're using the wind deflector sometimes they'll ride in the front (one at a time obviously) with the seat as far back as possible.
Hi Corey, I'm down in Mooresville but no longer have my 996. There is a handful of us on here from the area. Hopefully they'll chime in and offer you some help. Personally I like the coupe and a hard roof over my head.
Welcome to RL!
I have an '03 Cab and both my boys can fit in the back (9 and 12). It's getting a little tight for my 12 year old. He also a big boy 5'9" and 180 ibs.

I have a 2005 996 C4S coupe which has the sliding sun roof. Best of both worlds?! We have no kiddies because of our advanced age
but for the life of me I have no idea how two kids could sit back there! I'm 6'2" but don't have my seat all the way back but there is no place to put even a little guy's legs! Maybe they could sit sideways!?
Hi Corey! I'm up by Eagle Creek. Keep us posted on your search. I hope you are looking far and wide for the right vehicle.
We can steer you to a good shop in Indy once you get the deal done. You may want to go to the National Porsche Club meeting in French Lick (I forget the dates but it's on the PCA website.)
Good hunting!
