(I had connected it to the blue/white wire on black plug on the CAI harness, then disconnected thinking maybe that was my problem).

I should run the blue/white wire on the kenwood wiring side to the blue/white wire on the red plug

Since i'll be using the RCA's to go to the stock amp, do i need to connect the speaker wires on the harness?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

I soldered it all up and went to plug it in to make sure it worked before I started tearing everything apart.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Got a new kenwood double din cause i finally am telling myself I need car play. Got a kit from CAI and got the receiver separately. I soldered it all up and went to plug it in to make sure it worked before I started tearing everything apart. No sound from the speakers, headunit functions fine. *Car has door speakers, non/bose, has dsp Wired everything up on the harness, including the speaker wires. I think this is where i went wrong. Since i'll be using the RCA's to go to the stock amp, do i need to connect the speaker wires on the harness? Car doesn't have a "speaker" plug in the back, so only one plug goes into the big black plug on the CAI harness. Also, where do I connect the blue/white amp wire on the red plug CAI provides? (I had connected it to the blue/white wire on black plug on the CAI harness, then disconnected thinking maybe that was my problem).

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

think i realized my ****up. I should run the blue/white wire on the kenwood wiring side to the blue/white wire on the red plug
