Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Poured a little ater on the pulley to check heat and no build up so drove on.
Leading evidence: 'Check heat and no build up so drove' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check heat and no build up so drove' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Car sure sounds different cruising it on the hwy with the windows down instead the a/c on. Pretty cool weather at sunrise so I cut the a/c and crusied it. No pics so I guess it never happened.
Sounds great and what's odd is it kind of sounds like the engine has an air cooled engine with the fan in the back. Maybe it's the engine fan sometimes. Sounds nothing like the radiator fans. I figure a guy has to drive with the windows down more often to really hear if there are any sounds being missed. You sure get to hear a lot more than with the windows closed and internal fans and a/c or heat going.
When I first got the car I'd drive with the windows down more than half the time then went a/c oriented to keep dust out. Now it's just so nice in the morning it's like a/c.
Sheeze I guess there was a noise. Looks like the compressor for the a/c spit some melting plastic from the pulley bearing or clutch. No oil loss or water. I'm figuring maybe part of the 25% down on refrigerant a few months ago included a bunch of the oil then having the a/c off for a day or two amplified lacking lube some how. Common sense tells me it was internals of the compressor and clutch that fried since when pouring bottled water on the billiowing smoke area the compressor was boiling off the water. The smoke seemed to be coming from below the compressor where possibly the plastic was frying on the engine. Notice outside portion of a/c clutch appears to of been emitting melted plastic. Compressor failure leading to clutch failure due to drag is my bet. Hehehe at least I think it's the a/c compressor hehehe
Great way to pull into a parking lot. The melted plastic can be seen like cotten candy extrusions kind of looking like a black scrubbing pad being flung 360 around the compartment.
Oh yah drove it home with the a/c off stopping 2 times plus turned the engine off at a light just to make sure I didn't turn up any extra heat for the pulley and clutch to screw with me. Poured a little ater on the pulley to check heat and no build up so drove on.
