Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I was wondering if anyone knows of a supplier that sells the lenses for the headlights. They are plastic and easily replaceable. I bought some for a Mercedes E500 made in china and they were flawless. I was wondering if someone made them for the MK1 911. These are for a Cayenne but its what im looking for. https://www.ebay.com/itm/12478454759...Cclp%3A2047675

POST 2Original post

I've never seen replacements for just the lenses. I've seen where people have taken theirs apart and painted the inside plastic of the headlight assembly. It was two separate pieces so I guess it possible to find just the lenses. I know a nice pair of used complete replacements are expensive. I kind of went a different route with my headlights.

Looks like a very nicely done DIY. I did the same thing to my RSX Type-S headlights back in the day. It's a slow process but done right the results look factory (and better than factory IMO). If I weren't keeping mine as stock as possible, this is something that would have been done a while ago. Thread below for steps. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...light-diy.html

Fellas I wish I was that awesome to have done something like this but I bought them. Here's another pic of the front of the car, you can see them a little better.

POST 6Original post

You mean like this: I followed your ebay link...so not like that.

You bought the lenses? Where?

POST 8Original post

These were complete assemblies, that maybe what you are referring to when you say lenses. I did have to transfer some parts off my old light onto the new ones. The company was xtreme motorcars. They seem to be very nice, they fit and install just like OEM.
