Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Run like the wind' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run like the wind' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

trading 04 C4S (23,000 miles) w/ 11 GTS (white, PDK, sport suspension). My wife and I test drove it yesterday and she fell in love w/ it (...more than me, really and she is not a car person). Took a bit of courage to post this thread given the current economy.....
Should I pull the trigger ? I love my 996.....please help me to make the decision . Your input's much appreciated.
Absolutely, especially if your wife is supportive. A GTS would be a great Porsche to own according to all the reading I've done. It's okay that you love your C4S, I'd do the deal in a heartbeat.BUT, you will need to put on more miles...maybe your wife can help with that.Keep us in the loop, can't wait to see your pics.
I think the main thing to think about is that the new 911 (991) will be there in 6 months..
The GTS I think will always be a great car, lots of uprgade baked in the price, but when a new model comes up it is hard to resist.
I love the GTS and the idea behind it but I'd wait for the new model to get a better deal on the GTS, or to simply buy the new one. There should still be GTS on the lot next year.
>>> If money is no issue, best of both world -> enjoy the GTS now, get a 991 in two years
Wives are like banks used to be - they never let you overextend yourself especially when it comes to care - the fact she is supportive is a good litmus test.
Go for it and we will all live vicariously
That's the stupidest question I have seen on the board in a long time. "My wife likes the new Porsche and I'm not sure if I should get a newer model"...do it ASAP dumba$$ (with all respect).
wow, thanks for your support !
I took the car home (didn't finalize the paper work yet) and guess what ? I've got a bit of clearance issue - see the picture. My driveway is pretty steep and I've got only about 0.5" space or so. If I drive straight up,
Once we finalize the deal, I will definitely post some pictures.
Do it. We only live once... If it's in your budget and wife approves should be a no brainer. Buy a few replacement splitters and buy that joker. I would , but manual for me pls...
Get a new house.
Seriously though, my '99 with the Aero kit scrapes on my driveway unless it get the angle just right. I have learned to adapt to the needs of the car.
As to your original question, as long as you're comfortable with the cost, do it!
make them throw in a painted front spoiler and store it till your ready to sell...then mount the one you trashed on that driveway on the garage wall like a trophy!
bitchen color!
