Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I have no idea if what you suggest is possible or not, just doesn't seem worth the effort (though I know that was said about repairing the M96 when they were "cheap" and now look where that is...).
Leading evidence: 'Repair m96' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair m96' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Since selling the car there are bits and pieces in my garage that have popped up.
I have a brand new AOS looking for new home.

Thanks for looking.
QUICK QUESTION, can the 3.6l AOS work on the 3.4l if you retrofitted somehow? i see the only difference is the bottom pipe and how it mounts but is the inside mechanically the same?
I think you would need some significant surgery on the 3.6L AOS to make it fit the 3.4L engine. I don't know for sure but I would imagine the inside to be very similar.
Say if one were to cut off the bottom tube off the 3.4 AOS and and attach it to the 3.6l AOS using a 90 degree angle hose and clamp both ends down, attach the rest of the hoses as normal and secure with better clamps and just leave it suspended in the air since it doesnt really move much anyway....what could be the repercussions to such engineering???
Complexity with no real benefits
It's more than that. The mounting holes are all different between the two. People have enough grief fitting the stock unit and I can only imagine if you want to MacGyver something to fit in the limited space there. If you really want to engineer something, you may want to retrofit the motorsport version AOS which has a higher capacity.

Even if you've already paid for the 3.4 and can't return it for some reason, just eating the cost and getting the right part would seem to make far more sense and be less stressful than what you are suggesting.
Even assuming you get it on there, how are your modifications going to impact its reliability and function?
