Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Drive the daylights out of it: That's what they're for (unless you have your 991 vacuum-wrapped in cellophane, and stored in a nitrogen-filled sealed garage to preserve its value...).

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi All,
I've always been a Porsche fan, however never had opportunity to own or even drive one. I had the opportunity to drive a couple this year and got the big big time.
Just purchased a pretty nice (I think) 2003 Carrera Cabriolet, in Orient Red Metallic, with 74,000 kms on it. It had gotten a new ceramic IMS bearing, seals, and clutch in the last year, along with new tie rod ends and alignment. Paint is good, as is interior and leather.
I'm pretty mechanically inclined and have built and maintained many motorcycles of all varieties over the years but this will be my first "real" car! I'm loving it and looking forward to learning lots from all of you here.
Congrats and welcome. You've done well. Getting a car with possible mechanical issues addressed is the way to go! Any mods planned? With your wrenching backround you should be god to go. These car are really not that hard to work on and there is a lot help here, forums, youtube, google etc. Keep us posted. Cheers
From a new owner to another - congrats! I've never seen that color its awesome. You'll love driving it. I planned on using mine on weekends but Im using almost every day. Welcome to Porsche ownership.
Welcome to the club.

Welcome! I've had my '03 a little under 4 months. If you have a few bucks to spare; I highly recommend the Fister D muffler mod. The sound it makes is intoxicating. I have also done the Fabspeed CAI with a BMC drop in filter.
Enjoy!
Jeeeeezus dude. Congratulations on your new baby boy, let me talk to you about his risks of being attacked by wolves.
OP, I'm sure you did your research on the car, congrats and enjoy.
"Hey, nice new house! Did you know that most fatal accidents occur within or near your home?
"And, is that your lovely wife? Divorce rates are about 50% now, and many homicides are actually committed by spouses or equivalent partners.
"Welcome to the neighborhood!"
Nice car. Love the rare Orient Red Metallic!
Try to ignore the fear mongering. Yes, some 996s have engine failure. So do some of EVERY car. Drive it and enjoy it!
No worries, I did some research and am aware of the potential issues. End of the day, any used car is a gamble and I accept that. I'm loving the car so far and it's working a treat.
I'll try to limit my time on here as I know that reading internet forums has been proven to cause impotence. I know it's true, I read it on the internet
