In this case, these cost me USD700 to get installed and replaced twice.

For the top nut I used a sparkplug socket with an allen wrench through the center to hold the shaft from spinning.

Yeah, yeah, I know, buying from eBay sellers is never a good idea. In this case, these cost me USD700 to get installed and replaced twice. First, the supposed 'OEM Quality', NOPE! They lasted a few weeks. Then 1 year guarantee. NOPE! With the seller only offering a partial refund. Typical listing here . Actual result here (eBay stuff on the left, and real OEM on the right): Note length, and waxy texture of eBay product, vs satin and softer OEM stuff. See ya!

That sucks. I hope everything works for you the second time. My ebay (and more so Amazon lately) philosophy is: For this product/price am I ok recieving a cheap, possibly toxic, Chinese copy of a copy. If not, buy somewhere else.

I just replaced the front bump stops with OE's from FCP Euro. Very easy to do on the stock suspension. For the top nut I used a sparkplug socket with an allen wrench through the center to hold the shaft from spinning. Pushed the shaft through and held it down with a piece of pvc while I squeezed the boot and stop through the springs. Used a jack to ease it back up through the top. Maybe an hour and a half. Glad that the original, 20 year old shocks had no apparent leaks and still had a good rebound charge left in them.
