Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If never, I would let it go until I needed to replace the tank, especially if the fasteners are rusted.

thanks all of you for your feedback and tips to change the valve
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello everyone.
I have an issue with my coolant valve bleeder.
when the coolant is hot, the pressure keepts the valve open.
(i dont have a difference when the valve is in the open or closed position, it just stays open...
anything bad to have it open all the time?
any idea how i can remove the bleeder valve without having to remove the coolant tank?
thanks in advance for your help
only too well. I have 1 thats so rusted it broke and when I wanted to do the ones bidding I realised that I had to move the coolant tank... and Im not in the mood to remove all that is required to do it...( I do have the replacing bleeder valve... but Im looking for a lazy option...)
If is stuck open all the time (hot or cold) it may be possible air pockets will develop when cold, but removed when hot. Just a theory.
How often are you adding coolant? If never, I would let it go until I needed to replace the tank, especially if the fasteners are rusted. Thats just me though.
Lowering your engine to the cross bar might give you the room you need to replace.
I wasn't in the mood to drop my tranny to replace the clutch and pressure plate but I did it...
when the engine is cold, the valve is closed. and i dont need to add coolant.
it can indeed maybe by design. thats a good news.
thanks all of you for your feedback and tips to change the valve
I wouldn't bother with changing the valve. The screws are self threaded into the tank. They will often not unscrew nicely and the plastic threads will come out with the screw and then the new screw will not torqued properly.
thanks for the confirmations.
next step is to see how many miles i can drive it without adding oil.... (just kidding, i'm changing it every 20,000 miles...
