I'll be driving back solo, so pretty much the entire car can be used for tires except the driver's seat.

I'm going to attempt to get all 4 in and will be bringing some heavy duty trash bags to keep everything clean inside.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all,
I've been reading the forums for quite some time while looking for my very own Porsche. I am on the verge of buying a 996 long-distances (pending PPI results right now). The seller has an additional set of wheel/tires that he does not wish to sell separately. Since I'm will be flying in to drive the car home, can anyone confirm if these full set of 4 mounted tires will fit? I'll be driving back solo, so pretty much the entire car can be used for tires except the driver's seat. I'm thinking they won't fit, but would like to know if advance to work something else out, back them out of the purchase price (if the seller goes for it), etc.
Thanks! Looking forward to joining the Porsche owner's club!
Looks like it can be done. Or maybe ship them via Greyhound? Best of luck.
P.S. Did you see this thread?

Please shell out the extra cash to have them shipped to your residence...
I mean do you really want the imprint and markings of 4 30lb wheels all over and in your new to you Porsche?
Or maybe that's just me speaking...the only other items I have put in mine is a pack of gum and bottled water haha
On a serious note whatever you decide I would like to see pics
Thanks for the input everyone! I'm going to attempt to get all 4 in and will be bringing some heavy duty trash bags to keep everything clean inside. If they don't fit, I can always leave one or two behind and pay the seller to ship them for me.
Picked up the 996 yesterday (performed flawlessly on the 800 miles drive bsck). Put one of the fronts in the front trunk/frunk area, a rear and the spare in the passengers seat, a rear behind that in the back seat and the other front behind the drivers seat. Another managed to fit the wind deflector and a bunch of random parts, fluids, etc the previous owner gave. It was snug but doable. Would have been easier had the tires been deflated.
