Once the drilling is complete and it has been test mounted on the ar to check that everything is okey, I will send it for painting with some other interior parts (will paint the plastic scopes behind the front seats with frash matt paint, paint the box cover in the centrum panel and I've recived a new "ashtray" without an ashtray like the picture below, and will paint that in the same black colour as the other plastic parts to make it fit better together.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 3Original post

Looks good Jonathan. Can you post pics of the car with the spoiler installed once it's done. Thanks!

POST 4Original post

Very cool. If I hadn't been planning on tracking the 996 I would have gone cab..

For sure will, mate. I've ordered the spoiler via ebay from GT3TEK last week and will have the spoiler delivered during the upcomming week regarding to the tracking information. And thanks a lot! This is the one: http://www.gt3tek.com/products/996wing.htm THanks mate, I was about to buy a cup but my father kind atalked me into buying a convertible due to the value staying more stable. I wasn't very into the convertible at first, but after seeing some in real life, I fell in love and I'm pretty sure I couldn't have made a much better decision when it came to buying either a convertible or a cup. Looking forward to the summer A LOT! With kind regards, Jonathan.

POST 7Original post

I am also interested to see this wing go on, with a Cab finding a wing is a hassle. I plan to go with a bigger wing on my Cab but id like to see how that one looks.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 11990271

The wing has arrived. I'm having surgery tomorrow tho, so I might not be able to pick it up. Depending on if there's anyone willing to drive me there. Hopefully there is . And as for the wingsize on a convertible, that's a huge problem. You can't go too big mate, as the cab mechanic will hit the spoiler when taking on and off the sufflet. Keep that in mind. There are special taco aftermarket spoilers that fit, but the original most likely wont. With regards, Jonathan.

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The new spoiler was picked up today. Test mounted in on the spot, but haven't had to test mount it on the car yet, will prolly do so after tomorrows hospital visit. (many visits in a row now haha) Once the drilling is complete and it has been test mounted on the ar to check that everything is okey, I will send it for painting with some other interior parts (will paint the plastic scopes behind the front seats with frash matt paint, paint the box cover in the centrum panel and I've recived a new "ashtray" without an ashtray like the picture below, and will paint that in the same black colour as the other plastic parts to make it fit better together. POST 10Original post

Your precision at parking amaze me, If I go that close to the wall like that, I have to have a back up camera!!!!!!! by the way congrats on your mods!!! I have a spoiler in my cab also.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 11994962

It's actually parked by pushing it close to the wall haha. It's the lower floor at my dad's work, I store it there during the winter and for mods. Main post / First post has been updated with new graphics.

POST 12Original post

Jonathan - for your scratched plastic window, there is an aftermarket top with a glass window. The disadvantage is that it is narrower than the plastic window reducing the already poor visibility. Watching Wheeler Dealers the other day, I saw them working on an old Corvette and they found a place that cut out the plastic part of the top and put in a new one. I don't know if it would be possible to do so for your top but I see a visit to an car upholstery shop in your future. Best wishes for your surgery.

POST 13Original post

NOVUS 123 is a great solution for the plastic window. It's three bottles. A heavy grit, light grit and a cleaner. Takes about ten minutes with excellent results. There's no reason not to try that before something more drastic. You can Amazon it. 2oz. kit (good for several cleanings) is less than $10. Do you even have to think about that?

Thank you. I've been looking around for a shop like this trying to get a decent price for it. There's a few shops nearby working with sufflets windows etc for boats that are willing to fix cars as well. I see no poit in mounting an aftermarket one tho, as the fabric on the sufflet is in pretty good condition. Thank you, I'll try to find a seller in sweden, since importing fluids etc is always a problem. Thanks!

POST 15Original post

They sell it in Texas where they sell sheets of plastic as a raw material. Hope you have the equivalent in Sweden.
