Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used FCP for over 30 different suspension parts, all were there correctly and worked fine.

For used stuff I've had good luck with eBay salvage yards.

I've used Suncoast too, but sometimes can't find 996 parts I need there.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Can anyone recommend a good place or two to purchase parts? Twice in a row now Pelican Parts has shipped the wrong part to me. Now I'm on backorder for a $1 washer! Thanks.
I use a mix of:
PelicanParts
FCP Euro
Ebay
RockAuto
RM European
Amazon
Porsche dealer
It all comes down to price, shipping costs, and availability. FCP has been the worst in terms of shipping turnaround and order accuracy, so I usually use them last, although I am about to pull the trigger on a water pump order because they are significantly cheaper than PP and I can wait.
Not a huge fan of Pelican Parts, their prices are always higher than others.
I always go to my local dealer as they match prices or even do better than some on-lines.
Dealer can get me parts within the week if they don't have in stock and they never charge me shipping.
If the local dealer won't give you "special pricing" than here are a couple I use.

I'm a big fan of FCP especially with their lifetime warranty, if and when a part wears out buy it again, send the old parts back and get a credit. I purchased OE front pads and discs from them and I started to get a slight squeal, they took them back and sent a new set of pads even after 2k miles. Great service.
RM and Pelican are good for finding the correct part number and quantity of each part needed. Then double-check the p.n. against the PET to verify part(s) before you search for a best price.
Auto Atlanta has the best diagrams/part identification. Sometimes their prices are crazy and the shipping is always crazy, so I only purchase from them on occasion. The only time I'd ever use Pelican (and I have used them) is when I CAN'T find the part ANYWHERE else. For me it's - everyone is in play depending on the part (does it have to be Porsche branded or is OEM ok?), price, shipping etc... Just Google it (the part#/description) and do your diligence.
^^^ This. Especially if its a car you plan to keep long term. Their prices are often a few dollars more than ECS or some of the others listed, but I've had my 928 for 11 years and really enjoy the fact that cam gears, starter, alternator, etc. have all been paid for and won't represent a future out of pocket cost.
I like to shop around for the best price on the part I'm looking for. I'll use Porsche diagrams to identify a specific part, but look around for the best deal and service.
Aside from the ones mention already there is also ECSTuning.com and Germanautoparts.com, I've used both in the past for my other cars with no issues. If you're looking for used stuff I ordered a steering wheel from Redlineautoparts and was pretty satisfied with overall price and condition. And if you're familiar with the Porsche parts catalog and system this place can be pretty helpful

that's if you know what you're doing otherwise it can get a little confusing.
Good prices, good delivery, reliable info on their website.
rmeuropean.com
others listed do good job also, but I like having choices in suppliers to re sellers. Seems like a lot of these guys get parts from same place in Carson CA.

For used stuff I've had good luck with eBay salvage yards.
I used to run a Virtual Machine set up on my computer with Porsche PET installed to poke around parts diagrams and find stuff. Got pretty good at figuring out the system.
