Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Back from the road trip from Pa. to the area of Richmond. We really enjoyed ourselves while avoiding all but about 40 miles on Rt. 95. The C4S ran flawlessly and I gained a new appreciation for the touring suspension vs. the M030 sport suspension on the C2. Oddly, over the course of 1,000 miles the only other Porsche we came across was a stellar looking 944. The wife was a trooper and really did her best to act as if she was fine; yet I have learned to easily read the signs that tell me otherwise. This allowed me to "change my mind" during some excursions and simply return to our hotel. It was a real pleasure to not be up against the clock and to have no concern about how long the drive took or how often we stopped to stretch our legs along the way. The only problem for me, as always, is that I am never truly ready to stop driving a 996. I'm already hinting to her about planning another few hundred mile road trip to the destination of her choice. Thanks again to all for the route suggestions.

Our Porsches love to be on the road, glad you enjoyed the ride.

John, Sounds like you had a great trip! Glad to hear it. I hope all is well. -Eric

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello Eric - yes we truly enjoyed the trip. Wife might make a navigator with a little more practice. I used map quest so I could customize the route as my GPS seemed locked on to taking 95 most of the way. Doing our best to play the hand we were dealt, certainly don't like it in the least, but working with it the best that we can. Some days are pretty dark, other days we end up feeling blessed that we have the time that we do and that I am here instead in the office, an airplane, or a hotel. Sure do miss those regular deposits to my checking account though. I hope that you are enjoying an occasional cruise in your C4S.
