Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I felt that I was charged too much, and they replaced too many injectors.
Leading evidence: 'Replace too many injectors' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'hour' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check anything glaringly obvious (with the car, or dealer)' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

He was very reasonable for what he did, and I felt that the car ran better after he had tinkered with it.

I'd like a 'lister to check for anything glaringly obvious (with the car, or dealer) that might steer me away from it.

I would go to LNengineering.com in Chicago area & check his list of authorized installers of his IMS bearing upgrade for a PPI
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

For a quality PPI, I suggest Fischer Motors in Barrington. Rick Fischer and Peter Fischer run a great shop. Very active in the Chicago Region PCA. They maintain both my 993 Turbo and 987 Boxster S. [phone removed].
I would NOT recommend a dealership PPI.
Golz motors is just a few blocks from my house. I had an unfortunate experience with them and injectors on my 73 Targa. I felt that I was charged too much, and they replaced too many injectors. But that was my opinion of the work that they did. There were a lot of Porsches in the parking lot.
My recommendation would be to go to Perfect Power in Buffalo Grove. Sol Snyderman runs a really clean shop, and he did two PPI's for me on a pair of Guards Red 2001 Turbos. We rejected the first one, and I bought the second one. He also did some work on my 2004 996 Targa. He was very reasonable for what he did, and I felt that the car ran better after he had tinkered with it.

Thanks again for all the suggestions.
Is anyone willing to take a quick look at the car for me? I'd like a 'lister to check for anything glaringly obvious (with the car, or dealer) that might steer me away from it.
