Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Look, I went through the same issues, then I bought a battery tender, and then one of these items.....now I am able to turn off the draw from the car to the battery and the tender keep the thing frosty....I just have the tender mounted behind the space between the spare and battery, leave the frunk slightly open to run an electrical cord to the battery tender.

Suggestion

However, I think sometime soon I will be purchasing a parasitic draw tester...something like a fuse buddy to see what aftermarket flopdoodles that seem to be constantly drawing power that was installed before I purchased the car....yes, I could use a multi meter........

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I usually go through a battery a year and, I'm tired of it. What is it in these cars that just zaps the battery when it's parked? I've tried with the alarm on and off. Still it kills the damned battery. I had a full charge last Saturday with a new battery. Just tonight I decided to hook up the battery charger and already the battery was down to 73%. WTF.

For now, this is a slight pain, but better than having a dead battery.....of course there is always AntiGravity Lithium Batteries, who is on the vendor directory.

POST 3Original post

My 99 can sit for weeks and not have the battery drain (no tender). You have a parasitic draw somewhere that you need to find.

^^ echoes. Same here. I've been gone for a month without an issue. The current battery was in the car when I bought it 3 years ago. Good luck finding it.
