Cliffs notes: 127k 911 C2 New LN engineering IMS New AOS New Clutch/Flywheel Clean bill of health from two separate shops within the past 6 months. Got back from a 1 hr drive yesterday and thought I could hear something similar to a squealing belt. Come out to my car today, cold start, and could hear something like a whining, metal on metal kinda spinning noise (if that makes sense..) coming from the right side of the motor.. Any idea what the hell this would be? Where do I start looking? Tow it to a shop to have them diagnose? Dammit... YouTube

Due to your video posting fail, I can only postulate that this is a water pump / idler pulley bearing on the way out. Pull off the serp. belt. Does it stop? Goodie, figure out what's no longer spinning that caused the noise. Does it NOT stop? Call your buddy with the tow truck. Time for another trip to the shop.

Why is the video a fail? It's showing up on both my phone and desktop? Water pump was done by the PO about 1 year ago based on receipts.

Could be one of the idler/tensioner bearings, remove the air box, remove the belt (draw a diagram first of the belt routing), then spin each of the 3 pulleys by hand to see if you can hear/feel one that's different than the others.
